He was offered to become Israel’s President

When the first President of Israel Chaim Weizmann died in 1952, Einstein was asked to become the President of Israel. He could have become the second president of Israel. However, Einstein refused the offer saying that he lacked the natural aptitude and the people skills required to handle the role of the President.

Einstein hated socks

It is well-known that Einstein mostly looked messy and disheveled. This is because his mind was more occupied with more important things than keeping up appearances. In addition, he hated socks because they would always get holes in their toes.

His mother was a violinist

Einstein initially hated playing violin when asked by his mother. However, at the age of 13, he listened to the music of Mozart and developed love for music. Einstein continued playing violin even in the last years of his life.

Interest in Science was inspired by a compass

When Einstein was five years old, his father showed him his pocket compass. Einstein was thrilled to no end on seeing the needle that aligned itself to earth’s magnetic poles. This was when he developed his interest in science.

Einstein was never bad at Maths

It is far widely believed myth that Einstein was bad at Mathematics in his school. He was exceptionally good at maths during his School and had mastered integral and differential calculus before the age of 15. He was only frustrated by discipline asked for by his teachers. He was good at understanding extremely complicated Mathematical concepts that even his seniors couldn’t.

His brain was preserved

Thomas Harvey, a pathologist extracted Einstein’s brain after his death to study the difference between an ordinary brain and the mathematical genius. Not much was found for years. In 1999, a Canadian university found that the folds of his brains were more dense in his Parietal lobe.

When Einstein was born, he had unusually large head, that led his family into thinking if he was abnormal. However, as he grew, the head took a normal shape.

Spent minimal time on appearances

Einstein wanted to save the time it takes to think every day what to wear. This is the reason why he started using only gray suits. He is famous for his quote, “Once you can accept the universe as matter expanding into nothing that is something, wearing stripes with plaid comes easy.”
